How does SMS transaction detection work?

FinDet reads SMS messages from banks and payment providers to automatically detect and categorize transactions. The app only processes transaction-related messages and ignores other SMS content. You can grant or revoke SMS permissions at any time in your device settings.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes, your data is highly secure. All information is encrypted on your device, and we never share your personal financial information with third parties. You can read our full Privacy Policy for complete details.

Can I use the app without SMS permissions?

Absolutely! You can manually enter transactions if you prefer not to grant SMS permissions. The app works fully without SMS access, though you'll need to input transactions manually.

Which banks and payment providers are supported?

FinDet supports major Indian banks including HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis Bank, Kotak, HSBC, and many others. It also works with digital payment platforms like PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, and UPI transactions. If your bank isn't recognized, you can manually add transactions or request to add bank from app.

How do I delete my data?

You just need to uninstall the app or you can use option from menu to delete data

Why isn't my transaction being detected automatically?

This can happen if:

  • Your bank uses a message format that isn't recognized yet
  • SMS permissions aren't granted
  • The message doesn't contain standard transaction keywords

You can manually add the transaction and send us the SMS format so we can add support for it in future updates.

How do I set up budgets and categories?

From menu navigate to the budget management section where you can set monthly limits for different categories and track your progress.

The app is crashing or not working properly. What should I do?

Try these steps:

  1. Force close and restart the app
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check if you have the latest version of the app
